What is KGSynth?
KGSynth is short for Keygroup Synth. KGSynth turns keygroups into a real-time synth engine that you can tweak just like a plugin, and takes up basically zero memory!
I’m Chris and I’ve been playing keys all my life. As soon as it came out, I got an MPC Key 61 and made it my main board for live shows. I loved the plugin sounds, but with only 8 per Project, I needed to find a way to get all my sounds in one Project.
I started creating keygroup programs based on tiny samples (just 17 kilobytes!) of raw synth oscillators. While other keygroups on the market rely on multisampled synth patches that eat up memory, KGSynth generates synth sounds in real time using those tiny files. With KGSynth, you don't have to worry about running out of RAM, and you can customize each synth from the ground up.
